I am a small breeder of show quality Shih Tzu in Kitsap County, which is in the Seattle, Washington area. I am a board member of the Gig Harbor Kennel Club, as well as being their webmaster. I am also a member of the Puget Sound Shih Tzu Fanciers. My Shih Tzu are bred for type, temperament, and health, and even in a sweet breed like this, my Shih Tzu are known for being exceptionally sweet, loving, and well mannered. I wouldn't have it any other way! My babies live in my house, and while I firmly believe that purebred dogs should only be bred to the standard and for breed improvement, I feel that if your pups aren't a true delight to live with, you have failed! AKC & Int'l CH Pien Ji's Chun Kee Mun Kee (the face at the top of the page) is a great example of what I am striving for, as is BISS AKC & Int'l CH Pien Ji's Red Fred, CGC. They are beautiful, have heads to die for, lovely outlines, but what strikes people about them is how sweet and loving they are. Shih Tzu being a companion animal, I feel this is the true test- do they do what they were bred for? In the website, you can find information for the Shih Tzu owner concentrating on puppy care, feeding and grooming of your Shih Tzu. There is a section on color- did you know you can register with more colors than are listed on the registration slip? You just need to know the color code! And the page that explains Blue Shih Tzu in more detail gets great reviews for readability, which isn't easy when talking genetics! And, of course, there is a bit about the family of Pien Ji Shih Tzu (Boys, Girls, Pups), and their pedigrees. Shih Tzu puppies are available very occasionally, on spay/neuter contracts, to wonderful loving local homes! (I breed very little and sell close enough that I can keep in touch with my pups. Sorry- I won't ship pups.) There are some puppy pictures on the site, but it is best to email a puppy application (link below) to me to see what is currently available or expected! I only have two litters a year, so don't expect one right away. I think they are worth waiting for- and the people that have my kids agree!
